The rental duration is calculated on the basis of indivisible periods of 24 hours, starting from the time the Vehicle was available. However, a 30 minute grace period is applied at the end of the rental before the start of a new 24-Hour period. Extension of the Original rental Duration: The vehicle is insured for the period mentioned on the rental agreement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by Unlimited Tours – Europcar Egypt, once this period is passed, the renter remains liable for any damages. Should you wish to keep the vehicle for a period longer than that originally set out in the rental agreement, first you must refer back to rental station and when approved make sure to come in person to extend the duration of the rental agreement (Based on availability). Under specified circumstances winter tyres will be mandatory in Germany: In case of ice, packed snow, slush, black ice or frost vehicles will only be permitted on the roads if they are equipped with winter or all-season tyres bearing the specific identifying marks. What is included in my rate?
Your rate is inclusive of Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Theft Protection (TP), airport/location surcharge, vehicle licence fee, road tax, unlimited mileage and government tax. An excess will apply to CDW and TP. If you enter a different return location to the pickup location, the one way rental fee will be included in the price displayed to you. If during the quotation process you have stated “I live in United States of America” or “I live in Canada”, the rates you will receive are exclusive of Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection (TP). Your credit card may provide this coverage for you. Please see CDW Exclusive Rates for further information.

Drivers aged 75 and over need to provide a PRINTED medical certificate/letter which states that they are fit to drive and a letter from their insurance company stating that they are currently driving and have not had an accident within the last 5 years. This information must be received at least 5 working days in advance of your rental.
Driving Licence:
Drivers (and additional drivers) must be in possession of a full, unendorsed driving licence which they have held for at least 2 YEARS prior to the commencement of the rental. Licences must be produced in person at the Europcar location at the time of collection. Drivers must be in possession of their licence at all times when driving the vehicle. If a driver has any endorsements on their license, they must contact our Reservations Department prior to booking as there may be restrictions on renting. Failure to inform us of endorsements will result in the driver being refused the vehicle and forfeiting any deposit taken. Licences must be from the country of permanent residence. NON-EU/EEA driving licences cannot be accepted if the holder has been resident in Ireland for more than 12 months. Holders of UK, US, Canadian, Australian and all EU member states are NOT required to supply an International Driving Permit (IDP). International Driving Permits where required, MUST BE accompanied by the original domestic licence of the driver. This is clearly stated on the international permit. An International permit presented without the domestic licence, will not be accepted.
Attention: UK Driving Licence Holders
From June 8th 2015, the UK paper part of your driving licence will no longer be valid. We will require all UK licence holders to present evidence of your driving record (entitlements/endorsements) before the vehicle can be released. This can be obtained by printing it out from the DVLA’s ‘Share Driving Licence’ section - click here (https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence) - before you collect your vehicle. We reserve the right to ask prequalifying questions on your insurance history. You may be refused a vehicle based on the answers you provide.
Credit Cards Accepted:
Europcar accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club and Discover Cards. For all 'pre-pay online' bookings, the person in whose name the vehicle is booked MUST be the person whose credit/debit card is used. This card must be presented on arrival. If you made your booking with a debit card, you will need to present the debit card and one or more credit cards (depending on the vehicle group) when picking-up the vehicle. On collection of the vehicle, Europcar can only accept credit cards for deposit purposes. At the time of rental there must be sufficient credit on your card to cover all charges including the excess/deductible amount. Payment must be made with a credit/debit card as we do not accept cash or the credit card from a third party. Holders of a 'Chip and Pin' card must know their PIN number.

Super Damage Waiver Cover (SDW) can be purchased for EUR18.16 to EUR24.40 per day depending on vehicle size. Purchase of SDW Cover reduces the excess/deductible to zero.
CDW Exclusive Rates:
Declining Europcar CDW and TP - To decline our Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection, the driver must have a US issued World MasterCard or Canadian issued Gold/Platinum Visa/MasterCard and provide proof that the card has relevant coverage for the Republic of Ireland. If a relevant credit card and cover letter are not produced at the time of commencement of rental then our CDW and TP cover must be purchased at the local daily rates (E21 - E28 per day plus tax depending on vehicle size). The letter from your credit card company must be dated within 21 days of your pickup date and contain the credit card number (partly masked is acceptable). These cards will only be accepted for coverage for a maximum of 28 days in any one calendar year. We do not accept European cards for coverage. Please note that you must pay for your full rental with the eligible credit card in order for your card company to provide CDW and TP coverage.

If using your credit card to waive our CDW cover, for security reasons 2,000Euro will be pre-authorised on your card in case there is damage. If a letter confirming CDW coverage is not provided on collection of the vehicle, 10,000Euro will be pre-authorised on your card. If there is a damage charge, this amount can be claimed back through your credit card company. We cannot be held responsible for any exchange rate charges as a result.
This coverage is a service provided by US MasterCard OR Visa/MasterCard Canada to the cardholder and therefore it is the cardholder's responsibility to ensure that they are adequately covered for the entire duration of the rental period. We reserve the right to refuse third party insurance.
In order to establish if your US MasterCard or Canadian VisaCard/MasterCard includes Auto Rental Cover in the Republic of Ireland please call your credit card issuer and/or US MasterCard/Canadian VisaCard/MasterCard before making your reservation. It is important to confirm to your credit card issuer that the Republic of Ireland as your place of rental.

Fuel Policy
We offer two fuel options:
1. PREPAID FUEL
Customers can choose our prepaid fuel option at the beginning of their rental at our special discounted rates. For the driver's convenience, there is no need to refill the car. With this option, no refunds will be given for unused fuel. Prices for this option are set locally.
2. STANDARD REFUELLING
Customers can return the car as they wish. Should the car return less than full, the customer will be charged our standard refuelling price per litre.
No compensation will be given for fuel charges if an upgrade to a larger car is given
Flight Information
For all rentals commencing at an airport location we ask you provide us with the correct flight number and arrival time when booking your vehicle. Flights should be scheduled to land within our opening hours. This is to ensure that if your flight is delayed, your car will be held and staff will be in place to greet you when you arrive. If this information is not available to you at the time of booking, we ask you provide us with it at least 5 days before your arrival date. Where flight information is not provided in time, or incorrect information is provided, we cannot be held responsible for a failed rental and no refund will be due.
Meet Late Arrival
Where a flight is delayed (and we have been advised of the flight number at the time of original reservation) and the customer arrives at our desk 30 minutes or less after our closing time, no additional fee to the customer applies. If the customer arrives at our desk 30 minutes or more after our closing time, out of hours charges of €40 will apply. Please contact the branch directly for further information.
Vehicle Hold
Vehicles will only be held for 1 hour after the booked pickup time/landing time within our opening hours if no payment information is provided at the time of reservation. Vehicles will be held until the location closes once credit card details and Driver ID are provided at the time of reservation. After this time, the vehicle may not be available.
Non prepaid reservations may be cancelled or amended up to 2 hours before the due pick up time at no extra charge to the customer. Failing to cancel the non-prepaid reservation and failure to collect the vehicle before the closing time of the reserved location station will incur a no show fee of €30 plus tax.
Maximum Length of Rental
The maximum length of rental allowed on one booking is 35 days. For rentals of a longer duration, please make 2 reservations. Customers, who rent from us for more than 35 days in a 6 month rolling period, will be subject to the higher rate of vat at 23%. This will be recalculated locally.
Car Types
Europcar Car Rental operates a fleet with many different makes and models of cars. Whilst every effort will be made to supply the reserved model, we reserve the right to supply a suitable alternative. Please note that we cannot guarantee a particular make or model.
Toll Information
Drivers are responsible for the payment of their tolls (on both barriered and barrier-free toll roads) directly with the Toll Operator. Further information regarding toll rates and payment methods will be given on collection of your vehicle.
Additional Drivers
Additional drivers can be added for a daily fee of €9.08. Additional drivers can be added on collection of the vehicle only. Please note unauthorised drivers are not covered by us and are prohibited from driving the rental car. The additional driver must be present at time of pickup and must fulfil the same age/licence criteria as the principle driver.
Baby Seats
Baby seats are available at a cost of €6.81 per day to maximum cost of €47.67 per rental.
Booster Cushions
Booster cushions are available at a cost of €6.81 per day to maximum cost of €47.67 per rental.
The law in Ireland states that an appropriate child restraint MUST be used.
New EU Child Safety Protection Laws have come into force making it compulsory for all children to travel in the correct child seat, booster seat or booster cushion. Where safety belts have been fitted they must be worn. Children under 3 years of age must not travel in a car unless restrained in the correct child seat. Children aged 3 years or over who are under 150cms in height and weighing less than 36 kilograms (i.e. generally children up to 11/12 years old) must use the correct child seat, booster seat or booster cushion when travelling in cars. Child car seats must be in accordance with EU or United Nations- Economic Commission for Europe (UN-ECE) standards. Drivers have a legal responsibility to ensure passengers aged under 17 use the correct seat, booster seat, booster cushion or seatbelt.
GPS Units
Garmin Nuvi GPS units are available to rent at a cost of €10.00 per day to a maximum of €90.00 per rental.
The non-return or loss of a GPS unit will be charged to the renter at a cost of €200.
Personal Benefits Membership (PBM)
PBM covers the driver for personal injuries or fatalities up to €31,750 in the event of an accident whilst in the vehicle and costs €6.81 per day.
Roadside Assistance (RSA)
RSA is available at a cost of €4-€6 per day and covers the driver against potential breakdown recovery costs such as use of incorrect fuel in the vehicle, assistance with the retrieval of keys locked inside a vehicle, delivery of replacement for lost keys etc. Further information will be available on collection of the vehicle.
Carbon Offset
At the time of booking you can donate €3.00 which covers the cost of planting 2 trees in the Burkina Faso Desert.
Travel to Northern Ireland
If you wish to drive in Northern Ireland, you must inform us on collection of your vehicle. There is a nominal €34.05 fee when taking a car into Northern Ireland. Cars cannot be taken off the island of Ireland at any stage and must be returned in the Republic. Failure to purchase the required cover will result in the renter accepting full responsibility for any recovery fees, should the car breakdown.
One Way Rentals
One way rentals are permitted between branches at a cost of between €34.05 and €85.12. If you enter a different return location to the pickup location, the one way rental fee will be included in the price displayed to you.
Grace Period
Drivers are allowed a one-hour period of grace provided that the vehicle is returned within our hours of operation. Drivers exceeding this will pay any extra charges directly at the local rate.
Early Returns
We do not issue refunds for unused days nor for charges paid directly on arrival in the event of the vehicle returning earlier than booked.
Car Returns
Cars may be returned outside our location hours by prior arrangement only. Cars that are returned outside the above location opening times will be charged for any damage or any loss incurred until the car is returned to the car rental company.
Traffic Fines
Speeding, parking and other endorsements/fines are the responsibility of the hirer in full. Europcar Car Rental accepts no responsibility for any fine or payment. The renter is obliged to inform Europcar Car Rental of any fines or parking tickets issued whilst the vehicle is being used by the renter. Where Europcar receive a fine that was not settled when issued, the total cost of the fine, plus an administration fee of €20.00, will be charged to the main driver’s credit card.
Upgrades
If on arrival the client feels that the car they have booked is not suitable for their requirements, we will be happy to provide a larger vehicle if available. Upgrade charges are payable on arrival at the local daily rate. If a customer is given a free upgrade on arrival, we cannot accept any customer service queries regarding fuel or coverage costs.

An Excess Charge of $500.00-$1,000.00 will apply in case of damage according to vehicle type. CDW/THW does not cover damage caused to the Tires, Windscreen, Rooftop and underbody damage to the vehicle that will be charged accordingly.
Super CDW is optional and will reduce the renter’s responsibility to Zero in case of damage to the vehicle. Can be purchased only in conjunction with CDW/THW & TP.
SPCDW does not cover damage caused to the Tires, Windscreen and Rooftop.
TPL - Third Party Liability - Mandatory for customers that decline CDW/THW & TP, provided these are covered by the credit card company. To decline CDW/THW & TP, the renter must have a US issued World Master Card or Canadian issued Gold/Platinum Visa/Master Card or Visa Premier and provide written proof the credit card has relevant coverage for car rentals in Israel.The 3PLC coverage is mandatory in Israel as a minimum coverage if CDW/THW & TP are declined. Required to cover items that are not covered by the credit card company such as blowout’s, tire/trim damage not caused by theft, vandalism or is not a result of vehicle collision and third party damage. Minimum charge per rental day is 24 hours. Late returns of 1 hour and over will be charged at 1/3 of the daily rate.
Late returns of 3 hours and over will be calculated as one extra day.
Use of vehicle will be at full responsibility of renter as shown on rental agreement. Every additional driver must be registered on the rental agreement as well. Crossing and exiting Israel borders and/or the Palestinian Authority Territories with the rental vehicle is strictly forbidden.
Fuel: Supplied with a full tank and recommended to return full. Vehicles returned with missing fuel will be charged an additional service fee of 30%.

1. The Customer must keep the hired vehicle in a clean, safe, and sound condition as he/she took it. Otherwise charges may be applied. 2. Europcar Lebanon will conduct vehicle’s “Check-out” and “Check-in” condition in the presence of the Customer at the time of handing over or receiving it to ensure vehicle’s condition and to mark the status of each rented vehicle. 3. The Customer commits that he won’t allow anybody to drive the rented vehicle unless been authorized By Europcar Lebanon as an “additional driver”. 4. The Customer undertakes that neither he nor any of the listed additional drivers will use the vehicle in; Pushing, Pulling or Towing objects, Races & Fun Drives, Rough Roads, and Teach Driving or Rent the vehicle without Europcar Lebanon’s permission. 5. The Customer that fails to adhere with same will be held responsible and liable for all charges resulting from damages, penalties, fines & other dues. 6. The Customer commits that he or any additional driver will not use the vehicle to transport commercial passengers or any materials/products that are prohibited by the Lebanese Laws. |
| Confirmed Reservation Policy: |

a. “Pay on arrival booking”; a grace period of 120 minutes is permitted for the Customer to pick-up the vehicle. b. “Prepaid booking”; no pick-up time is specified until the closing of the rental. c. “No Show”; an amount of 95€ will be applied. d. “Reservation Turn down”; due to the failure of the customer to fulfill the rental T&C’s requirement will be subject to a turn-down rental fees charge. e. “Cancellation”; reservation is free of charge if cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the pick-up. While after that it will be subject to a cancellation fee of 50€. |

a. “In case of early return”; no refund amount will be applied. b. “In case of later return”; there’s a grace period of 120 minutes at the latest. In case the Customer returns the vehicle after the grace period a charge of one additional rental day will be applied. c. “Fail to return”; if you fail to return the vehicle on its due date & time, and you have not extended its Hire Period for a period of 24 hours, then we will record the Vehicle as stolen and will report it to the police & will file a case. |

Neither party shall be liable for failure in its performance hereunder caused by any case of Force Majeure. "Force Majeure" shall be considered - as defined by the applicable regulation(s) - as any irresistible or unforeseeable event, independent of the party suffering of the case of Force Majeure, which prevents this party from fulfilling its obligations. So that in the case: 1. “Of a Prepaid booking”; the transaction will be cancelled, and the renting station will refund to you the prepaid rental charge that has been collected. The renting station will have no further obligations with respect to the transaction; 2. “Of a Guaranteed reservation”; the reservation will expire, a No Show fee will not be charged to you and the renting station will have no further obligations with respect to the transaction. |

| Deliver and Collect service is a pre-paid service. You must pay 24 hours in advance all rental charges and security deposits. Booking will be confirmed to you once payment has been made. If during the quotation process you have stated “I live in United States of America” or “I live in Canada”, the rates you will receive are exclusive of Basic Protection ( Basic Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Basic Theft Waiver (THW) ). For US and CANADA Resident, you may already be covered of Basic Protections so we did not include it in the rental price. Please bring proof of your basic protections and USA or CANADA Residency to the rental stations. If you do need a basic protections you can purchase it to us and avoid paying for damage to your vehicle with no additional out of pocket expense & no increase to your personal policy due to an incident. Medium Protection reduces your financial liability in case of damage to the vehicle as a result of collision, theft or attempted theft. It also protects you in the event of damage to the windscreen, headlights or tires. | c) The contract shall be valid at the time of the accident; |

d) The Renter shall notify the lessor and the security authorities immediately after exposure to accident or the discovery of theft, providing them with all the information they request and obtain a traffic report or from the relevant police stations; |

e) Insurance does not cover accidents in some cases and therefore the Renter bears full responsibility of third parties and / or for the rent company. The cases not covered by the insurance are: |

Rental deposit:
When you arrive at the rental location, we will request for a deposit amount of AED 1,500/- (Approx. Euro 365 or USD 410) which will be purchased from your credit card. It will only be used in case of any damages not included in your coverage or any additional charges like traffic fines which may be incurred. It may take 1-6 weeks to get notifications of penalties related to traffic offences from the Authorities. The deposit amount will be refunded to your credit card after 45 days from the closure of the rental, after adjusting traffic fines or damages, if any. Please Note: We will not accept prepaid, recharge or virtual credit cards - or any card on which the relevant characters are not raised (embossed). "
Traffic fine deposits blocked on customers’ credit cards. Please be informed that the traffic fine security deposit amount that we block (Pre-Authorization) on the credit card of the customer will usually be released by the bank automatically, within 30 days from the day of blocking. The banks do not send text messages or show in the credit card statement after releasing the blocked amount. Hence, after 30 days, the customers are advised to check with their credit card issuer bank, whether the blocked amount has been released or not. The customer should send an email to Europcar Dubai - accounts2@royallimo.ae in case the blocked amount is not released after checking with their bank. Upon receiving the notification by email from the customer, Europcar Dubai will send a request to their bank to check the status of the blocked amount and the status shall be updated within 5 working days. Utilization of blocked amount by Europcar Dubai. After closing the rental Europcar will process the extra charges like Salik, fuel etc, if any, on the customer’s credit card. If the customer is available to pay, he/she can opt to pay by different means. In case there are no funds available in customer’s credit card for paying the extra charges, the blocked amount will be fully utilized/charged by Europcar Dubai. The remaining amount after deducting the extra charges mentioned above, will be refunded to the same credit card after adjusting traffic fines, if any, upon expiry of 30 days of returning the car. Charges, if any, debited by the customer’s bank for the refund and currency exchange differences should be borne by the customer. In case, customer wants the refund to be processed on another debit/credit card, the same should be informed in writing to Europcar Dubai - accounts2@royallimo.ae within 30 days from the date of returning the car, mentioning the Rental agreement number on the subject field of the email. The minimum rental age is 22. A young driver surcharge of £32.50 per day will apply to all drivers aged 22-24. The age policy may vary at certain locations. Drivers aged 22-24: A young driver surcharge of GBP32.50 per day will apply to all drivers aged 22-25. For rentals starting from Plymouth, Exeter, Taunton, Carmarthan, Pembroke, Aberystwyth and Llanelli the driving licence must have been held for at least 2 years prior to checkout.

| For UK photocard driving licence holders: With effect from 8 June 2015 the DVLA will cease to issue the paper counterpart to the UK photocard driving licence. From that date it will no longer form part of a UK driving licence. Since the introduction of the UK photocard driving licence in 1998 we have used the paper counterpart to validate the driving record of any UK photocard licence holder wishing to rent a car or van from us in the UK. |
| After 8 June 2015 there will be the following change to the driver licence information you (or your driver if you are not to be insured to drive the car or van) will need to bring whenever you collect a car or van from us: |
| · the UK driving licence photocard of all drivers will continue to be a requirement on each occasion you rent a car or van from us (irrespective of whether it is a UK or a non-UK rental); and |
| · instead of the paper counterpart previously required we will need you and/or the driver to provide us with the one-time passcode that can be generated using the new DVLA online service “Share Driving Licence”. Please note that Share Driving Licence passcodes are valid for a maximum period of 72 hours so you should generate it immediately before picking up the car or van. |
| Holders of the old style UK paper licence must also provide a Share Driving Licence passcode together with an additional form of photographic ID which can be a Full Valid Passport, an Armed Forces ID Card or a Police Warrant Card. No other form of identification will be accepted. |

With the prior consent of Europcar, the car or van may be driven by other persons. All drivers must meet our standard qualifications as set out in these Terms and Conditions. A daily charge for each additional driver during the rental period may be levied. This charge will be indicated during the booking process.
Cancellation and No Show Policy :
Prepaid rental
Cancellations are free of charge up to 24 hours before the rental start time. For cancellations made less than 24 hours before the rental start time, the pre-paid rental amount will be refunded minus a cancellation fee in the currency of the pre-payment of €50, £45, 75 CHF, 65 US dollars or 400 Norwegian Kroner.
No refunds will be given if you fail to collect the vehicle on the rental start date and have failed to notify us in writing in advance of this date. Once you have collected your vehicle no refund or partial refund is possible.
Pay on arrival
If you have chosen to pay for the car or van when you come to collect it but your travel plans change then you can cancel your booking free of charge anytime up until two hours before your rental is due to start.
If you lodge your credit or debit card details with us we will guarantee your car or van until close of business on the day your rental is due to start. However, if you do use this facility to guarantee your reservation and you either don't pick up the car or van on the day or don't give us two or more hours’ notice to cancel before the rental start time then you agree that we may charge a fee of £45 (or the equivalent in destination country currency) against that credit or debit card to compensate us for having held the car or van for you without any rental transaction ultimately taking place.
Deposits :
All rentals, excluding Prestige rentals, are subject to a standard £250 deposit at the time of rental in addition to the appropriate rental charges. If you are a first time customer presenting a UK driving licence and have a foreign address you will be required to pay a deposit of £1000.00 rather than £250.00. All Prestige rentals are subject to a standard £500 deposit at the time of rental in addition to the appropriate rental charges. If you are a first time customer for a Prestige rental presenting a UK driving licence and have a foreign address you will be required to pay a deposit of £2000.00 rather than £500.00. These funds will be Authorised* on all credit cards. These funds will be deducted from debit cards. The funds will be released or refunded, where appropriate, after the rental period, subject to the deduction of any damage or charges. Cheques will be cashed. *Authorised means that the amount is 'marked' against the card but not actually charged to it. The Authorisation therefore reduces the cardholder's available credit as against their approved limit. The amount does not appear on your monthly statement. The payment card used for the deposit must be the same payment card as was used for the prepaid booking rental.

On 28 day rentals, the deposit and first 28 day charge is Authorised* at check out. At the end of 28 days, a charge is made for those days. You must then visit your local Branch where the original Rental Agreement will be closed and a new Rental Agreement issued. Then a further Authorisation taken for the next period (upto a maximum of 28 days).
In all other cases payment will be charged to the payment card along with the deposit at the end of Rental.

Refunds :
Cash and cheque deposits will be refunded depending on the condition of the car or van when you return it to us. Cash deposits will be refunded immediately if there are sufficient funds on site. If not a cheque will be sent to the renter you at the address shown on the rental agreement. A cheque refund of the deposit, if appropriate, will be sent by us within 10 working days by second class mail to the address shown on the rental agreement.
Note: Refunds may take up to 10 working days to credit in to your bank account/ credit card account. We will make the refund to the card used for the original payment only.

One-Way Rentals :
One way rentals are permitted between all Branches. One way fees vary and apply to all one way rentals. The fees vary and are included in the quote price during the booking process.
Baby/Child Seats:
It's the law in the UK that all children under three years old must use an appropriate child restraint ("baby seat") when travelling in any vehicle, all children aged three or more years old and up to 135cm (approx 4ft 5in) in height must use an appropriate child restraint ("booster seat") when travelling in a vehicle.
You as the driver are responsible for seat belt wearing and restraint use by children under 14 years.
The penalty for offenders is a £30 fixed penalty notice or a maximum fine of £500 if a case goes to court.
You may hire a baby seat from £11 per day and a booster seat from £4 per day. Ask for details at your local Branch, or alternatively you can add this product to your booking via the 'add extras' button when selecting your vehicle.
However, whilst we can supply these seats we won't be able to fit the seat for your child and this will be your responsibility.

A limited selection of cars and vans may travel to the countries in Section 1, provided the driver is carrying a valid VE103B form. A Green Card is not necessary. Please confirm with your Branch before travelling.
A VE103B form is the ONLY valid document giving owners permission to take the vehicle outside of mainland UK and acts as a duplicate of the Vehicle Registration Document. No letters or other documents should be used.
The VE103B form is provided by the Branch at time of pick up or later by arrangement.
SECTION 2- All countries which are NOT listed in Section 1
Cars and vans are allowed to travel to countries in Section 2 at the discretion of our insurance company. All rentals travelling to these countries should contact our Insurance Department at Leicester 01162492702 for authorisation and the issue of a Green Card.
Please Note: At least 5 working days’ notice must be given if you are travelling to a country in Section 2, and there will be an additional charge levied at the discretion of Our Insurers.
Please note that without the correct documentation, you could be turned back from the border or may be subject to and liable for a considerable charge.
Europdrive Package:
Provides cover to ensure that both you and the car or van can be recovered in the event of the car or van becoming un-drivable as the result of an accident or through mechanical failure.
You are responsible for ensuring the Vehicle has the correct equipment to comply with local driving regulations in the country You will be driving the Vehicle through or within.

Verifying Your Identity :
Before your hire commences we will verify your identity by using our Equifax eIDVerifier check. This may result in the need to ask you to provide paper-based proof of identity such as a utility bill or bank statement that is less than 3 months old at the point of delivery of the vehicle or when you arrive to collect the vehicle from the Branch. Failure to do so will mean that we would not be able to hire a vehicle to you. Paper based proof will not be acceptable for Prestige vehicles or those paying in cash.

If you fail the check will not be allowed to rent. If there is an unsatisfactory search result you will need to provide paper-based proof of identity such as a valid bank/ building society/credit card statement, utility bill (not a council tax bill), land line telephone bill (not a mobile phone bill) or a TV license that is less than 3 months old when you pick up the vehicle from the Branch.
If you are a resident of a country other than the UK, you will be required to present a valid identity card or valid passport when collecting your vehicle.Visitors to the UK will have their Passport and Driving License checked for authenticity by the ID Scan system at participating Branches. ID Scan is a scanning system, which can detect fraudulent documents.
If your documents fail the ID Scan check you will not be allowed to rent.
Fuel Option:
All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel at start of rental. Renters can choose from 3 re-fuelling options which will be advised at the start of the rental and are briefly described below. Fuel prices are checked and updated weekly according to the national average forecourt price. Fuel used when delivering and/or collecting a rental car or van to and/or from you is the renter's responsibility.
You can choose to purchase a full tank of fuel at the start their hire and return it without refilling it. Please ask a member of staff for details. No refund will be given for any unused fuel.
Re-fuelling - If the car or van is not returned with a full tank of fuel or the Full Tank Option is not purchased, Europcar will provide a re-fuelling service. Our refueling is charged at national average prices. In addition, there is a service charge of £1.60 per litre. For the current price, please refer to our staff at time of rental.
Lost Property :
Any property placed in the car or van is at your own risk and we take no responsibility for it. You must check you have not left any personal property in the car or van before you return it back to us. Any unclaimed property will be disposed of 3 months after the end of the rental period.
Fine & Charges
You are liable for the payment of all charges, fees & costs arising from any congestion charge, bus lane penalties, speeding fines, road traffic offence, or parking offence involving the vehicle, including costs from the vehicle being clamped, seized or towed away & any charges/costs (or failure to pay) of the appropriate organisation if & when they ask for these payments and our £36 administration fee.
Hire Rewards
The Terms and Conditions of the "Hire Rewards" scheme are listed below. By using the Hire Rewards card you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions (as amended from time to time):
1. All participants must live in the UK and be aged 22 years or over.
2. Hire Rewards is only for personal and consumer use. Membership is not open to companies, partnerships, unincorporated associations or similar entities and your Hire Rewards card cannot be used for any transaction where the beneficiary is a business and/or the owners of a business. 3. Members may be removed from Hire Rewards at any time at our discretion. 4. All Benefits are subject to availability. 5. We may make changes to these Terms and Conditions upon reasonable notice. 6. We reserve the right, at any time without notice, to: (a) terminate Hire Rewards; (b) decline to issue Hire Rewards cards; and (c) alter or amend the Terms and Conditions of operation of Hire Rewards. 7.
